Seth Tobocman co-founded the left-wing comics magazine World War 3 Illustrated in 1979. A longtime member of the Alphabet City squat Umbrella House, Tobocman examined the fights over East Village real estate in the graphic history War in the Neighborhood (Autonomedia 2000; reissued by Ad Astra Comix, 2016).
