John Morton, The Electric Eels, The Syrenes with Bobby Meyers, 45rpm, 1981

 

John Morton was a founding member of the pioneering Cleveland punk band, “The Electric Eels.”  Moving to New York to pursue an art career, Morton curated the Murder Suicide & Junk show at ABC No Rio.  For the indie music company Mustard Records, he providing cover art for an Electric Eel  single and for a single by another Cleveland band, “The Syrenes.”  These very limited-issue records were sold at the store at the Ritz Show, a Colab-sponsored exhibition in Washington DC.
