Walter Robinson, Man wiith a Broken Bottle, New York, 1979

In the 1970s the artist and art writer Walter Robinson was known as Mike Robinson.  This image inspired by illustrations found on the covers of pulp paperbacks is typical of the paintings he was making at this time.  It is a particularly effective example of the color artist pages sometimes found in early issues of the East Village Eye.
