Neke Carson, Bleeding Iceskater

Neke Carson, ice skates, Iceskater, bleeding, Rockafeller Center, Performance

Neke Carson getting ready to test his bleeding ice skater apparatus at Rockefeller Center for an Esquire Magazine article, 1970.  Bags of blood are kept under the arms which connect through a system of rubber tubes to a needle that is glued to the metal blade of the skate. With a hand pump the skater can pump the blood through the tubes into the needle and create a track on the ice as he or she skates along.
