Many of the artists connected with Colab, Fashion-Moda, and ABC No Rio also had links to the alternative newspaper East Village Eye.  In the early 1980s the Eye sometimes gave over the newspaper’s centerfold to selected artists. Here Christy Rupp transformed the centerfold into a poster announcement for her show ‘Animals Living in Cities at ABC No Rio; Rupp also made use of the backside of the centerfold laying it out like a catalogue with images of some of the artworks in the show.  The centerfold poster that is for sale here has been signed by Rupp.
