Kiki Smith, The Kitchen Presents The Island of Negative Utopia, Poster, ABC No Rio, 1983

Stenciled and screen printed poster on paper,  17 1/2″ x 22 1/2″.

The Kitchen hosted this five-day exhibition and performance series organized by ABC No Rio, and titled by artist Joseph Nechvatal.

Smith made several variations of this silkscreen poster, each differently colored. One was featured in Smith’s 2003 print retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art.
