Yoshitomo Nara, Two Drawings, Photo Reproductions, 1999

Yoshitomo Nara, Two Drawings, Photo Reproductions, 1999

At the top of each of these photo reproductions is a typed inscription that reads: “From Yoshitomo Nara *49-221-4972941 1999. 9.25 18:40” This inscription has been whited out but can still be read when the photo reproductions are placed on a light box. Perhaps these were originally sent by a fax machine and then photocopied on better paper. The first set of numbers appear to be a telephone code. The second set of numbers indicate a date and time. These come from the ephemera collection of the art writer Edit DeAk. It seems likely that these drawings were used in an article which necessitated the whiting out of the inscription.
