This poster is for Kiefer’s controversial 2010 exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery which included enlargements from a 1969 series of photographs that show the artist provocatively making the Nazi salute which was banned in post-war Germany. According to the press release Kiefer’s intention was “to remind us of what has happened and what can still happen in the world.”
